A quick and easy creamy Buffalo chicken dip perfect for tailgating, game day, or any gathering. Made with simple ingredients like cream cheese, shredded chicken, and hot sauce, this crowd-pleasing dip is ready in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • ½ cup Buffalo hot sauce
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1 bag tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Let cream cheese soften at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Shred the chicken using two forks until you have about 1 cup of small, bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  4. Add Buffalo hot sauce and ranch dressing to the cream cheese. Beat on low speed until combined.
  5. Fold in the shredded chicken, ¾ cup cheddar cheese, and all of the mozzarella. Reserve the remaining ¼ cup cheddar for topping.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9×13 baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  7. Sprinkle the reserved cheddar cheese and crumbled blue cheese (if using) over the top.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until hot and bubbly. For extra browning, broil for the last 2 minutes.
  9. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with chopped green onions.
  10. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and let all ingredients come to room temperature. Shred the chicken instead of dicing for better texture. The dip can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking. Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
