  • 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk (or almond, oat, coconut, or other dairy-free milk)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (or vanilla bean pod, split and scraped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey (raw or organic)
  • Optional pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Pour 2 cups (480 ml) of your chosen milk into a small saucepan.
  2. Set the stove to medium-low heat and warm the milk slowly for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until hot but not boiling.
  3. Whisk in 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Add a pinch of nutmeg if desired and stir well.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of honey until fully dissolved.
  5. Give everything one last gentle whisk to combine and pour the warm vanilla milk into your favorite mug.
  6. Optionally, dust a tiny extra pinch of cinnamon on top for garnish.
  7. Sip slowly about 20-30 minutes before bedtime to relax.

Notes

Heat milk gently to avoid boiling or skin formation. Add honey after removing from heat to preserve enzymes and flavor. For a frothy top, whisk vigorously or use a milk frother. Can be stored refrigerated up to 24 hours and reheated gently.
