A quick and easy homemade frozen dessert made with ripe bananas, Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla. Perfect for kids and adults alike, these creamy popsicles offer a wholesome and refreshing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional mix-ins: mini chocolate chips, crushed nuts, or shredded coconut
  • Popsicle sticks (wooden or reusable silicone)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice 4 ripe bananas into chunks. Optionally freeze the chunks for 1-2 hours for a thicker texture.
  2. Add banana chunks, Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold in any optional mix-ins like chocolate chips, nuts, or shredded coconut.
  4. Spoon the mixture into popsicle molds or paper cups, leaving a little space for expansion. Insert sticks in the center.
  5. Place molds on a flat baking sheet or tray and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  6. To serve, briefly run warm water over the outside of the molds to loosen the pops, then gently pull on the sticks and enjoy.

Notes

For creamier texture, freeze banana chunks before blending. Use thick Greek yogurt to avoid icy pops. Running warm water over molds helps unmold popsicles easily. Variations include adding cocoa powder, peanut butter, or fruit purees. For dairy-free, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut or almond-based yogurt and use maple syrup instead of honey.
