A quick and easy game day recipe featuring a crispy crescent roll ring filled with creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip. Perfect for sharing and crowd-pleasing with a balance of bold flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works perfectly)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (Frank’s RedHot recommended)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (about 8 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for brushing)
  • Chopped green onions or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper to avoid sticking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, ranch dressing, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until creamy and evenly incorporated.
  3. Unroll both cans of crescent roll dough and separate into about 16 triangles. Patch any tears gently with your fingers.
  4. Arrange the crescent triangles in a ring shape on the parchment-lined pan with the wide ends overlapping in the center and pointed ends facing outward, leaving a small hole in the middle.
  5. Spoon the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the wide ends of the dough triangles in the center of the ring, spreading but not reaching the edges.
  6. Fold the pointed ends of each triangle over the filling and tuck them under the wide ends in the center, sealing the filling inside the ring shape.
  7. Optionally, brush the ring with melted butter to encourage golden crispiness.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and crispy on the edges and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Let the ring cool for 5 minutes before sprinkling with chopped green onions or chives if desired.
  10. Serve warm by cutting between the crescent roll sections to create individual wedges.

Notes

Use dry shredded chicken to avoid soggy dough. Watch the oven closely during the last 5 minutes to prevent burning; cover with foil if edges brown too fast. Prepare filling a day ahead for convenience. For dairy-free, use coconut cream cheese and dairy-free cheese. Reheat leftovers in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes to maintain crispiness.
