Crispy White Chocolate Witch Finger Pretzels

Crispy White Chocolate Witch Finger Pretzels - featured image

A stress-free, spooky Halloween treat combining salty crunchy pretzels with sweet white chocolate and candy eyes. This easy no-bake recipe is perfect for parties and takes less than 30 minutes to make.

Ingredients

  • Mini Pretzel Twists or Rods (fresh and crisp)
  • White Chocolate Chips (high quality, e.g., Ghirardelli or Callebaut)
  • Vegetable Oil or Coconut Oil (1 teaspoon)
  • Candy Eyes (large, expressive)
  • Red Food Coloring Gel
  • Parchment Paper

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and have candy eyes and red food coloring ready.
  2. Place white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir, then continue in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth (approx. 1-2 minutes total). Do not overheat.
  3. Stir in one teaspoon of vegetable oil or coconut oil to thin the chocolate to a honey-like consistency.
  4. Hold a pretzel by one end and dip it completely into the melted chocolate. Use a fork to help submerge if needed.
  5. Lift the pretzel out and let excess chocolate drip off for a few seconds. Tap the fork against the bowl to remove drips.
  6. Place the coated pretzel flat on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. While the chocolate is still wet, place candy eyes onto the pretzel using tweezers for precision. Press gently to adhere.
  8. Dip a toothpick into red food coloring gel and touch it lightly to the side of the pretzel to create small red dots for a ‘blood’ effect.
  9. Let the pretzels sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate is fully hardened. Alternatively, refrigerate for 5-10 minutes for faster setting.

Notes

Ensure all utensils and bowls are completely dry to prevent the chocolate from seizing. Work in small batches to keep the chocolate warm. If the chocolate becomes too thick, add a tiny drop of oil. For a gluten-free version, use certified gluten-free pretzels. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
