This easy candy corn bark with white chocolate and pretzels is a salty-sweet, crunchy treat that takes just 15 minutes of active work. Perfect for Halloween parties, fall gatherings, or a quick snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces white chocolate (chopped, preferably Ghirardelli or Lindt)
  • 2 cups mini pretzels (roughly crushed)
  • 1 ½ cups candy corn (regular, not pumpkin-shaped)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Line a half-sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, letting the paper extend over the edges for easy removal.
  2. Place 2 cups of mini pretzels in a zip-top bag and crush them with your hands or a rolling pin into pea-sized to dime-sized pieces. Avoid making powder.
  3. Chop 12 ounces of white chocolate into small, even pieces. Melt using a double boiler (stir constantly over simmering water) or microwave in 30-second bursts at 50% power, stirring between bursts, until smooth (about 2-3 minutes). Do not overheat.
  4. Remove melted chocolate from heat. Fold in crushed pretzels and 1 ½ cups candy corn until evenly distributed. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour mixture onto prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer about ¼-inch thick. Some pretzels should poke through the top.
  6. While chocolate is still wet, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the top.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or 20 minutes in the freezer) until chocolate is completely firm and no longer shiny.
  8. Lift parchment to remove bark from pan. Break into irregular pieces with your hands.

Notes

Use good-quality white chocolate that lists cocoa butter as an ingredient. Crush pretzels by hand, not with a food processor. Do not skip the flaky sea salt—it balances the sweetness. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months. The bark tastes best on day 2 or 3.
