A charming mix of fresh, vibrant colors and sweet pastel bites perfect for spring gatherings, Easter brunches, or casual get-togethers. This easy-to-assemble board balances creamy cheeses, fresh fruits, crunchy nuts, and pastel candies for a festive and delicious spread.

Ingredients

  • Assorted cheeses: creamy brie, sharp cheddar, mild goat cheese
  • Cured meats: prosciutto and salami (optional)
  • Fresh fruits: strawberries, green grapes, blueberries
  • Vegetables: thinly sliced cucumber, radishes, snap peas
  • Mini pastel-colored chocolate eggs (e.g., Cadbury or boutique chocolates)
  • Pastel jelly beans or gumdrops
  • Marshmallow chicks or bunnies
  • Edible flowers (pansies or violets) for garnish (optional)
  • Mixed nuts: almonds, pistachios, lightly candied
  • Honey or lavender-infused honey
  • Crackers and artisan bread slices (multigrain crackers and crusty baguette preferred)

Instructions

  1. Remove cheeses from the fridge about 30 minutes before assembling to bring them to room temperature. Slice cheddar and goat cheese into bite-sized pieces or wedges. Leave brie whole but slice a few wedges off.
  2. Rinse strawberries, grapes, blueberries, cucumber, radishes, and snap peas thoroughly. Pat dry with paper towels. Slice cucumbers thinly and radishes into rounds. Keep grapes whole and hull strawberries if preferred.
  3. Arrange cheeses spaced apart on the board. Lay out meats in delicate folds nearby if using. Surround with clusters of fruits and veggies, mixing colors and textures. Use small bowls for nuts and honey to break up the space visually.
  4. Scatter mini chocolate eggs, jelly beans, and marshmallow chicks in small groups around the board. Keep candies away from cheeses but close enough to be accessible. Garnish with edible flowers.
  5. Place crackers and bread slices in a separate basket or on the board edges. Add small serving forks or tongs. Drizzle lavender honey lightly over brie or serve on the side for dipping.

Notes

Let cheeses come to room temperature before serving for best flavor. Keep pastel chocolates away from heat and direct sunlight to prevent melting. Assemble about 30 minutes before serving. For gluten-free, swap crackers and bread for veggie sticks. For vegan, use plant-based cheeses and vegan candies. Store leftovers properly: cheese and meats refrigerated for 3-4 days; candies and nuts at room temperature up to two weeks.
