Quick & Easy Apple Nachos with Peanut Butter Drizzle

Crisp apple slices topped with warm peanut butter drizzle, chocolate chips, and a pinch of sea salt. A five-minute snack that’s healthier than nachos but just as satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji recommended)
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt
  • Optional toppings: shredded coconut, chopped peanuts, raisins, dried cranberries, cinnamon, crushed pretzels

Instructions

  1. Warm the peanut butter drizzle: In a small saucepan over low heat, combine ½ cup creamy peanut butter and 1 tablespoon honey. Stir constantly until smooth and pourable, about 2 minutes. Alternatively, microwave in 15-second bursts, stirring between each, until warm and drizzle-able.
  2. Slice the apples: Core the apples and slice into thin rounds, about ¼-inch thick. Arrange the slices in a single layer on a large serving platter, slightly overlapping if needed.
  3. Drizzle the warm peanut butter: Using a spoon, drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture back and forth over the apple slices for even coverage.
  4. Add the toppings: Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top. Add a pinch of flaky sea salt. If using optional toppings, add them now.
  5. Serve immediately: Enjoy within 10 minutes of assembly for the best texture—crisp apples, warm peanut butter, and melty chocolate.

Notes

Best eaten immediately. Apples release moisture and become soft if stored. For make-ahead, slice apples and store in lemon water, then assemble just before serving. Peanut butter should be warm but not hot to avoid softening the apples. Don’t skip the sea salt—it balances the sweetness.
