A quick and easy iced espresso drink with brown sugar and oat milk, shaken to create a frothy, creamy texture. Perfect for a refreshing caffeine boost on warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots (about 2 oz / 60 ml) freshly brewed espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 2 teaspoons packed dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup (120 ml) barista-style oat milk
  • Ice cubes (about 1 cup / 240 ml)
  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon or a drop of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Brew two shots of espresso (about 2 oz or 60 ml). If no espresso machine, brew strong coffee concentrate using AeroPress or pour-over with double coffee grounds.
  2. While espresso is hot, stir in 2 teaspoons packed dark brown sugar until fully dissolved.
  3. Pour sweetened espresso into a cocktail shaker or mason jar. Add ½ cup (120 ml) chilled oat milk and fill with about 1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes. Secure lid tightly.
  4. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to create a frothy, creamy mixture.
  5. Fill a glass with fresh ice cubes and strain the shaken espresso mixture into it.
  6. Optional: garnish with a pinch of cinnamon or a light dusting of cocoa powder.

Notes

Shake vigorously to create frothy texture; dissolve brown sugar fully in hot espresso to avoid graininess. Use barista-style oat milk for best creaminess. For less dilution, use coffee ice cubes instead of regular ice. Prepare sweetened espresso in advance and refrigerate if desired, but shake with oat milk and ice just before serving.
