  • 2 oz (60 ml) vodka
  • 2 oz (60 ml) 100% pure tart cherry juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 46 oz (120180 ml) spicy ginger beer
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lime wedge (for garnish)
  • Fresh or frozen tart cherries (optional, for garnish)
  • Mint sprig (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill your copper mug or glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Squeeze ½ oz (15 ml) of fresh lime juice using a citrus juicer.
  3. Pour 2 oz (60 ml) vodka and 2 oz (60 ml) tart cherry juice into the chilled mug.
  4. Fill the mug almost to the top with ice cubes.
  5. Slowly pour 4-6 oz (120-180 ml) ginger beer over the ice, pouring gently to preserve the fizz.
  6. Stir gently with a spoon or stirrer to combine ingredients without losing bubbles.
  7. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge, a few tart cherries, and a mint sprig if desired.
  8. Serve immediately while cold and bubbly.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Pour ginger beer gently to preserve fizz. Chilling the mug keeps the drink icy longer. For less sweetness, use diet ginger beer and reduce tart cherry juice slightly. You can prepare vodka and cherry juice mix ahead and add ginger beer just before serving.
